The report is targeted on a situation in the region of Valencia, Spain in mid-October 2018 and in the northern Italy from late October till early November 2018, and aims to provide a thorough understanding of the EFAS forecasts in terms of accuracy, time-efficient availability and effective communication of the forecasts. In addition to the hydrological forecasting skill, the report provides information about the hydrological model performance in the regions of interest, meteorological forecasts and initial conditions (i.e. soil moisture). The flood and flash flood generation drivers are stated for each region together with the number of EFAS notifications sent to the partners.
